CSR provided vocational support for income generation to 80 persons with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities. The main aim of this programme was to support the persons with disabilities to earn a regular income of atleast Rs.2500 by the end of each month . The major activities are: |

Counseling in a disaster simply means extending an emotional support to the affected people. This is done by Showing empathy, Listening actively, Allowing them ventilation, Extending social and medical support, Externalization of interest and Telling them the value of relaxation and spirituality. |

To facilitate the smooth functioning and effective management of Anganwadi centres in the coastal blocks of Kanykumari and provide support adhering to mutually agreed tools and techniques and help the district ICDS systems to follow up closely on the nutritional status of children in the temporary AWCs. |

Awareness on Disaster Preparedness: |

CSR with the help of District Administration conducted
five days TOT Programme to a team of 20 staffs from 9
NGOs to performstreet theatre performances on Disaster
Awareness. Supported byGoI-UNDP, theprogrammewas
designed to performstreet plays on disaster preparedness
in the Coastal villages of Kanyakumari district. The songs
and script for the Training were prepared by the R&TC
Team. Each participating NGOs after the TOT underwent
similar training at their level and conducted awareness
events in their respective working areas.After the training
10 community based teams performed more than 100
plays. Each NGO covered 10 villages. |
