  Training for Transgender:
       
 
In order to bring behaviour change among the transgenders, a four days workshop on folk dances, Pommalattam and folk singing was conducted by the R&TC Team with the support of Tamil Nadu AIDS Initiative (TAI). In this TOT, 38 trainees from six districts; Chennai, Madurai, Kancheepuram, Salem, Coimbatore and Vellore participated. The topics covered in the TOT are, Prevalence of TB/HIV, Health Insurance to PLHA, Awareness onCancer andimportanceofEducation.
   
 
   
  Milestone Ensuring better CHILDHOOD for the children of Migrant Labour:
       
 

Accepting the crucial importance of Early Childhood Development, CSR with the help of central social welfare board runs 2 Creches inMylaudy and Mangammalsalai in Thovalai taluk of Kanyakumari district, where migrant labours working in brick-kiln industry are present in large numbers. 57 children below the age of 5 are given care in these crèches.

The children in the Creche are taken care of by a teacher and an aaya and it is running in a building built with the support of the community. Regular health check-ups are conducted in the centre and nutritional supplement and medical facilities are provided for the children. Local
government nurse visits the crèche once in a week and gives preventive health education to them. The teachers and other supportive staff are doing regular house visits in the villages. Parent's monthly meetings are conducted 3. Children regularly in the centres and the average attendance of the parents in these meetings is 70%.

   
 
   
   Sustainable structures:
       
  The CBCS project depends on strong co-operation of the community in order to provide a reliable and sustainable community based structure where it works to reducestigma and discrimination in the community. Formation of Adult and Children Support Group, Village Development Associations (VDA) are some of the structures formed to sustain initiatives in the community. To facilitate this CSR established VDA in villages where stigma and discrimination is there and create an enabling environment for the affected/infected persons or families. VDA provides a platform for the affected people and transcend the boundaries of the community people and act as a model, help in early identification of people living with HIV/AIDS and provide the support to leada healthy life.
